The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FM) at a glance
The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering (FM) is a modern, performance and future-oriented unit of the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt.
With the Bachelor's degree programmes in Mechanical Engineering, Hydrogen Technology (through Bachelor Hydrogen Technology and Bachelor Hydrogen Technology Transnational), Mechatronics (through BMC in German and IMC in English, all together with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering) and the Master's degree programme in Product Development and Systems Design, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering offers future-oriented engineering degree programmes that enable its graduates to successfully start their careers. The faculty is oriented towards the mechanical engineering of the future (mechanical engineering 4.0). The modern specialisations in the degree programmes ensure this:
- Applied Materials and Production Engineering
- Digital Engineering
- Energy Technology
- Vehicle Systems
- Automotive Engineering
- Constructive Mechanical Engineering
- Lightweight Construction
- Mechatronics
- Production Engineering and Process Data Processing
- Simulation
More than 30 professors, more than 40 research assistants, engineers, technicians and administrative staff as well as good laboratory equipment in the modern Schweinfurt campus guarantee a practical and at the same time scientific engineering education. Despite persistently high student numbers, individual dialogue between students and lecturers is a lived reality in our courses.
Commitment, tolerance, creativity and mutual support form the basis for successful teaching and studying as individuals and in groups.
