Mainfranken Racing e. V. (MFR)
The Mainfranken Racing e. V. association (MFR for short) was founded by motorsport enthusiasts from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and takes part in the Formula Student Germany competition every year. The club team develops and builds a racing car, which then has to compete against vehicles from other Formula Student teams in various tests on a race track. The development work is also assessed.
You can find more information and pictures of the association on the MFR website.

VDI Unterfränkischer Bezirksverein e. V.
The VDI Unterfränkischer Bezirksverein e. V. (VDI Lower Franconian District Association) sees itself as the region's technical network.
In this role, it sees itself not only as an information platform for engineers, but is also socially active. This is reflected in the many events that bring engineering topics closer to all social groups. With over 2600 members, the Lower Franconian District Association is divided into three district groups. They organise numerous events and lecture series in 14 working groups. These are open to all VDI (Association of German Engineers) members and anyone interested in technology.
Students and young engineers have their own representatives who also endeavour to get young people and school pupils interested in technology and engineering studies. Close co-operation with technical-scientific associations creates broad public relations work for technology.
The Lower Franconian district association is one of 45 VDI district associations throughout Germany.
